Cheongsapo: Twin Lighthouses, a Glass Skywalk and the Coast Walk
What to do at the capsule's far end, and how to turn a 30-minute ride into a proper half-day along the sea.

The Sky Capsule doesn't just deliver a view — it delivers you to Cheongsapo, a small working fishing village that's a destination in its own right. Its little harbour is flanked by two lighthouses, a vivid candy-red one and a white one, that have become one of Busan's favourite photo spots; the capsule passes the red lighthouse on its way in. Cafés and grilled-seafood restaurants line the waterfront, and the village's low-key, salt-worn character is a lovely contrast to Haeundae's high-rises.
The Daritdol glass skywalk
Just above the village, the Daritdol Observatory skywalk reaches out over the sea, with glass floor sections that let you look straight down at the water breaking on the rocks below. It's a short, free walk from the capsule station and the best sea view of the whole outing — a small thrill for anyone who doesn't mind glass underfoot, and a fine photo for those who do.
Walking back along the coast
Because the capsule is one-way, you'll want a plan for getting back, and the nicest is often to walk. A coastal path of about 2.3 kilometres — roughly 30 minutes — runs between Cheongsapo and Mipo along the cliffs and shoreline, and it's a genuinely pretty stretch that lets you see from ground level the coast you just glided over. If you'd rather not walk, the Beach Train covers the same ground and more.
Making a half-day of it
Put together, the outing is an easy, satisfying half-day: ride the capsule one-way from Mipo for the elevated glide, wander Cheongsapo's harbour and lighthouses, brave the Daritdol skywalk, grab a coffee or grilled clams by the water, then walk or train back toward Haeundae — or carry on by train to Songjeong Beach. The capsule is the headline, but Cheongsapo and the coast around it are what turn a novelty ride into an afternoon worth remembering.
